What is it?

Acceptance testing means the computer automatically checks that your software matches the Gherkin scenarios you approved. Every feature has a test that proves it does what you asked for — not what someone thought you asked for.

Why does it matter?

When I say 'this feature is done,' I'm not guessing. The tests prove it. You can see the passing tests yourself. And when a future change is made, those same tests catch regressions immediately. Your Gherkin scenarios become your quality guarantee.
